It is Time to Fight.

In life, sometimes we need a push. A push to get things done, a push to put things in motion, or sometimes a push to get us engaged. But the strength of the push is what is unknown. Does anyone know how strong of a push it takes to move a mountain? Okay, maybe that is too grandiose. But do you know how strong of a push it takes for you to start doing something you have been procrastinating? Or how strong of a push it will take you to get fully engaged? Most of us do not. We say when things get to a certain point then we will react, out of obligation. But what kind of push does it take before you decide to fight? Not just any fight, but a fight for yourself?

Fighting for yourself is possibly the biggest fight you can be involved in, and while the reward is at its best, the risk of loss keep us sometimes from doing it. The risk to reward ratio is not in the favor of losing and sometimes this risk forces us to settle to some extent. But settling is not an option. Settling for what you currently have or are currently given is the safe choice. There is no fight there. There is no confrontation. But what if I told you that fighting for yourself has a different risk to reward ratio than you might perceive? You have to understand a few things before you decide to take on this fight though.

A fight usually involves a back and forth. Unless it is a one sided fight, there is an understanding that you are going to get hit and you will land some hits. Can you get hurt in a fight? Of course. The larger the reward the most intensity is usually involved in the fight. And the reward here is pretty big. But these are not things to be fearful of. People fight everyday, some fight professionally for a living. There are two common components that make a fight different for everyone involved.

The first is preparation. If you KNOW the fight is coming it gives you a chance to prepare. It gives you a chance to practice and plan. There is a saying. "Victory loves preparation." It means that for victory to occur preparation must occur. The more preparation the higher your chances at success will be. Will you get hit? More than likely yes. Will it hurt? Again, more than likely yes. But your odds of victory are higher. And if you are fighting for yourself, if you are fighting for YOU, victory is the outcome we would prefer.

The second component is initiation. In a fight the aggressor is not always the winner but the initiator, the person that wants the fight, the person that is ready to counter what is thrown against them, is highly favored for the desired outcome. If you are going to fight for yourself you need to be prepared to start things off. Whether that is going on the attack or preparing a strong defense.

We often assume people know what we mean, know what we want, will do what is in the best interest for us. This is not the case. I am sorry to tell you that, but no one is going to know what you want if you do not make it known what you want. No one will work in the best interest of you, if you are not making it known that you value yourself higher than the other intangibles. And no one will know what you mean if you do not speak up. So as painful as it may be, as tough as the fight may be, you have to fight for yourself. Speak up for yourself. Because no one else will. And if you are waiting for someone else to speak up for you, while they are speaking up for themselves then you will be wasting a lot of time.

And while the fight may go longer than intended, and the result may not be what you planned for you have to remember. We learn not from our successes but from our mistakes. We learn from our missteps what to do and not to do. And fighting for yourself will involve you learning a lot about yourself. Be prepared and take the fight. Be the champion you are meant to be. It starts with a fight. Are you ready to fight?

Take a Few Steps Back.

It is an impossible task to speak for everyone in the room, let alone everyone in a city, or state, or country. But there are people that still attempt to do it. I am not one of those people, never

Normal? What is Normal Anyway?

Have you ever stopped to think about how many people are on this planet? Not the city or town you may live in, but the planet. Think about that for a second. I did a quick check (like really quick)

Love.
